REMINDER: DEDICATION OF THE NEW MONUMENT TO CHAUNCEY WALKER WEST AND HIS FAMILY.
The new monument will include the names of all of Chauncey's immediate family. This will make this stately and beautiful new monument of greater interest to all of his descendants. To include this additional valuable information the monument had to be increased more than a foot higher which made the cost close to thirty-five hundred dollars more. Whatever you can send to us will be a great help. Please send checks made out to Chauncey West Monument Fund and mail to Norma Buchanan at 255 East 21st Street Apt 272, Ogden, UT 84401 (note this is a new address).
The reunion will be immediately after the dedication at the Farr West Ward Chapel at 1800 North 1800 West, Farr West, Utah. The directions for both the cemetery and the reunion are included in the previous blog. The previous blog said the Farr West Park but the Park is right next to the park so the directions still apply.
Please email me if you will be attending the dedication and reunion so we can plan the lunch and seating. Thanks to all of you. We look forward to meeting you May 9.

Within the town of Farr West are many sites significant in the building of the transcontinental railroad and the part Chauncey West played. WE CAN DO THIS
Deadline December 1 to order new monument for Chauncey and his family gravesite. The balance is increasing, but we need more.
This is your opportunity to participate in a historic event. The beautiful monument that we will be dedicating on May 9, 2009 will be there for hundreds of years. You will be proud to tell your children and grandchildren that you contributed funds to have it done. As the descendants of such an important historical figure, we have an obligation to make sure his memorial is worthy of the great man he was.
